Mistletoe Therapy

Mistletoe therapy is a widely used integrative treatment in cancer care, particularly in Europe. It is increasingly sought by patients in the United States who desire a whole-person approach alongside conventional oncology treatments. At Freedom Integrative Cancer Center, mistletoe therapy is offered as part of a personalized, medically guided integrative care plan.

Our goal is to support the body’s innate healing capacity, strengthen resilience, and improve quality of life throughout the cancer journey.

What Is Mistletoe Therapy?

Mistletoe therapy uses a botanical extract derived from the mistletoe plant (Viscum album). In integrative oncology, mistletoe extract is administered in carefully prescribed doses, most commonly by subcutaneous injection. It has been studied for decades and is used internationally as a complementary therapy for individuals undergoing cancer treatment.

Mistletoe therapy is not a replacement for conventional cancer treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation. Instead, it is used to support the body and the person receiving care.
